Hello! I am Dr. Varghese P. John, DMD, I am a cosmetic and restorative dentist as well as the founder of Advanced Dentistry. My team and I have been offering compassionate dental care to families living in Sugar Land, Texas, transforming their smiles with personalized treatments and excellent oral health care for more than 25 years. 

I believe my patients ought to be treated as my patrons and clients rather than as customers. We value relationships and believe that our name and our reputation in the community are some of our greatest assets besides my team members who make Advanced Dentistry to be what it is. I believe my patients should have the ability to choose the treatments and interventions that best suit them based on their oral health goals and intentions consistent with their budgets of time and money.

My objective is to create an environment that is conducive to maintaining health and beauty with predictable quality. Based on this, it is my duty to keep my patients informed of their true state of oral health, their risk factors, their opportunities, and of challenges known and unknown to them. I would be most honored if you would choose me as one of your team members who looks after your well-being. 

To introduce myself — I was born in Malaysia and educated in India, the Philippines, and England. I received my doctorate in dental medicine from the University of the East College of Dentistry in Manila, Philippines. Following graduation, I went on to pursue specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I also received training at The Mount Vernon Hospital and Northwick Park Hospitals in England. I then received advanced training in implant surgery and implant prosthetics at the Misch International Implant institute, The Pikos Institute, and at The University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Medicine in Serbia to mention a few institutions amongst the several. 

In the United States, I received advanced cosmetic dentistry training at Louisiana State University and the Seattle Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry and the esteemed “Spear Education”. 

I am affiliated through membership with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I have attained fellowship distinctions with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Misch International Implant Institute and have earned Diplomate status in Implantology with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. 

I reside in Sugar Land with my lovely wife Anna who is also actively involved at Advanced Dentistry. In her free time, you will find Anna doing gardening or D.I.Y. stuff around our home besides studying. We are proud parents to Amy and Nathan. Amy is pursuing Dentistry following in the footsteps of her parents while Nathan is in the Finance and Marketing sector in the business world. 

Sugar Land is a beautiful city. As residents of the Sugar Land community, our family loves all that it has to offer. We as a family have been active members of International Bible Church in Stafford, Texas. We enjoy spending time together in the local area of Sugar Land, Missouri, and Stafford Cities.
